Charismatic yet no nonsense rapper Chris Gristle (fka Imthefatboy) is a creative soul that has loved hip hop since the 90s, and an inquiring mind that has studied the music business independently for decades.

Returning to the core foundations of 1980's-2000's working class hip hop, Chris Gristle presents gritty raps and age appropriate subject matter, such as growing older, surviving homelessness, escaping drug dealer days, and being a single father, over soulful, hard-hitting production.

However, it would be life events such as losing his virginity at an early age and a lack of people to talk to that would encourage Chris to turn to the pen and pad for expression.

At 12 he would skip class to study music business in the school library. At fourteen he would make his own beats on the PlayStation before digital music was popular, and by 16 he would be on stage for the first time ever!

Since then Chris Gristle has come a long way and turned his years of knowledge into services and opportunities, including online and real world events to help artists who are coming up like he was and connect real people directly to good hip hop music
